shopping is the best medicine

Is it bad that shopping makes me feel better? When I've had a rough day if I just buy a new top or some new shoes it makes life seem happy :) Also I feel like I can't leave a mall without at least one bag in my hand. (Maybe I should see a shrink....)

I would consider myself a generally happy person but around this time of year I feel blue a lot. It is combination of things such as the crappy weather and having too much time on my hands (I am so much happier when I'm kept busy). So what do I do? Run away to Utah to shop! (and see my wonderful, lovely, and super hot sisters that live there). It gives me that extra burst of cheer to get me by until summer time!

So moral of the story, if you are feeling sad just head over to your local Macy's, H&M, Target, Thrift store, or what every store you prefer and get something new! Oh and chocolate is a definite must as well :)

Okay, here is a game I like to call two truths and a lie.
1. I love going to dance parties (or really anything related).
2. Sometimes I pretend I know how to dance.
3. I am part Navajo Indian.

In case you are stumped the first two are true (shocker, I know! Although sometimes I really wish the third one was true, that would be so awesome). However, I decided I am going to practice in my free time and become an amazing dancer so I can show everyone up at all the sweet dance parties here in town. So get ready!

don't worry, be happy.

The future scares me a lot lately. There are so many different directions my life could go in the next year or so and I'm scared I'll make the wrong choice. Everyone keeps giving me the same advise and it's finally starting to sink in. My future is bright :) and things usually seem the absolute worst right before something great and wonderful happens. Sometimes the silver lining in our clouds is easy to forget, but it's always there waiting for us to remember it.

My grandpa used to say to my mom "Michelle, happiness is a choice." Meaning no matter what life throws at us and how much we may feel like giving up or running away only we can decide if we will be happy or not. We only have one life, we have to make each day worth it. Leading an unhappy life is not my style at all. So here is a toast to be happy and to remember all the great things in our lives. So who is with me? Who will choose to be happy? (and just because you choose to be happy doesn't mean you can't cry, crying is healthy and necessary! but don't do it for to long or you'll get a headache.)

Day of love

 (Striped top- Gap, Floral top-Macy's, Belt-New York & Company, Jeggings-Gap, Earrings-Thrifted)

I've always had a bad attitude about Valentine's Day. My plan this year was to host a party and have everyone were black and watch a horror movie (and I don't even like horror movies that much). It was going to be my rebellion against the holiday. Then I had a mighty change of heart. I thought "Yes, I am lonely and don't have anyone to celebrate this day of love with. However, there are people who have it worse than me." Then came my great idea! I decided to make it a day of service. You sort of forgot all of the things stressing you out and making you unhappy when you are serving others. It's a great feeling :) I would recommend it!

Oh I also indulged myself by eating three Kripsy Kreme doughnuts along with plenty of candy. I didn't feel guilty at all. I think I deserved it.

just call me miss parkinson

Living in a town that's population is half college students equals a major job shortage. No job means no money, no money means no fun, and no fun means sad Sarah. So after a month or so of searching with no luck whatsoever I resorted to getting on the substitute list for my school district. It is so weird. I'm only twenty and here I am in charge of five classes of seventh and eighth graders. I feel empowered! And the kids think I'm really cool because I play hangman with them and let them listen to Coldplay while they work on their vocab. I'm ok with that. Because most of the time I think I'm pretty cool too.

Oh and say hello to Georgia Peach, she thinks she is a model. I think she might be right! She is one good looking cat. :)
